Kyle Wrightman
Software Engineer & Web Developer
Background
With a background in computer engineering and game development, Kyle's drive and passion for creating digital media has propelled him into the world of modern website development.
After developing and running a website on WordPress for a startup company, Kyle has shifted his focus to the JAMstack - 'an architecture designed to make the web faster, more secure, and easier to scale'.
In the past, web development began as a hobby with just HTML, CSS and Javascript. Experimenting with layouts and satisfying curiosity by figuring out how some of the more popular websites at the time were made. With Wordpress on the rise and countless hours spent tinkering with Wordpress websites, the interest in programming was peaking and shifting towards all things computer related.
The college experience equipped Kyle with the knowledge of building computers and understanding how operating systems functioned. Having a base understanding of how the machines worked was crucial, before diving into a more specific avenue of programming - game development. Diving into C#, Java, Javascript, DirectX, Unity Engine and learning more about object-oriented programming, has made the transition back to web development quite enjoyable and exciting.
